A newly updated home is a beautiful 3br Bohinj chalet sleeping up to 6 people just a few minutes drive from Lake Bohinj one of Slovenia’s most stunning natural treasures and in close proximity to quality skiing at Vogel and a huge range of river, lake & mountain summer activities. Located in a peaceful position in a quiet village of weekend chalets, the house overlooks a lovely terrace and garden.
(The chalet will undergo further updating before April 2023 so the photos may vary slightly from the finished updating)

The chalet has three bedrooms, additional attic sleeping area (pls see note at the end), large living room, fully equipped kitchen, entry room and two bathrooms. A fantastic base from which to explore Slovenia’s enchanting Lakes Region.

The Chalet is situated on the edge of the tranquil village of Bohinj Polje just a few minutes drive or a short walk (2.5km) via a scenic forest path to the majestic Lake Bohinj, a serene lake surrounded by towering peaks and pristine forests considered by many to be the most beautiful part of Slovenia.

In Summer the Lake offers the opportunity for kayaking, sailing and rowing, as well as fly-fishing, swimming or just relaxing on the lake shore. The mountains of Lake Bohinj are fantastic for walking and arguably the best place to start climbs up Slovenia’s highest mountain, Triglav. They also offer scope for great mountain biking, canyoning, paragliding as well as skiing. 20 minutes drive away from the house is world famous Lake Bled.

The ski resort Vogel above Lake Bohinj is one of Slovenia’s best with good lift infrastructure and snow record. It is 5-10 minutes drive from the house to the Vogel cable car, which is also open in the Summer giving easy access to high altitude walking and mountain biking. A 5 min drive from the house is the town of Bohinjska Bistrica which offers a modern water park with ample pool and spa facilities as well as a range of useful amenities including shops, bars, restaurants & bank. There is a wide range of other ski areas in Slovenia / Italy / Austria within day trip distance from the property

Train 3km to the nearest railway station in Bohinjska Bistrica with connections around Slovenia including the wonderful car train to Most Na Soci a wonderful way to get to the Soca Valley for a day trip.

Pets – Pets are welcome, but you must complete the booking form stating whether any pets are included in the booking. We only accept a maximum of 2 dogs, it can be 1 large and 1 small, or 2 small. If you are unsure please contact us for clarification. Thank you.

PLEASE NOTE: THE TWO SINGLE BEDS IN THE LOFT SPACE HAVE A VERY LOW CEILING AND ACCESS IS TRICKY UP THE STEP LADDER.

WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SPACE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN OR PEOPLE THAT ARE NOT USED TO CLIMBING SUCH TYPES OF STAIRS.

"We spend two weeks with teenage kids in this wonderful house. There is a very nice, sunny terrace and lots of space for everybody. The coordination with the landlords was very smooth and helpful. "mooi huisje met in de nabije omgeving veel leuke activiteiten voor gezinnen met kinderen. het meer is op wandelafstand via boswegen (2.5km). wandelen in de bergen, raften, mountainbiken... het is allemaal mogelijk. Het huisje is goed uitgerust met een goed uitgeruste keuken. Enige klein minpuntje is dat er geen airco is waardoor de temperaturen in de slaapkamers oplopen bij 30" (4.0 out of 5 )

The demand from foreign buyers for houses in Ljubljana is low as they want to be located very centrally and this means apartments.
